Reuse or Recycle?

Don’t Let Your Used Computers and IT Assets Go to the Landfill.

You might be surprised to discover how much value exists in assets that your organization has determined to be end of life. The team at CWI can quickly assess the potential suitability of your assets for reuse and recommend a plan of action that is both environmentally and financially advantageous for your organization.

At CWI, we are committed to helping you manage used and end-of-life electronic equipment based on a “reuse, recover, dispose” hierarchy of responsible management strategies. These strategies have been outlined by the EPA and are known as Responsible Recycling (R2).

Reuse is the most desirable of the three potential approaches to handling used computers and IT equipment. Wherever possible, CWI will work with you to extract the value from the equipment you no longer use by putting it back to use through our industry-leading asset recovery and remarketing services. We have a built-in market for your used equipment and will use our sources to deliver the highest possible value for your assets.

If we determine that your equipment has no value and recycling is the best option, we turn to our list of licensed recycler partners who will recycle the equipment in an environmentally responsible manner. Our equipment recycling partners share the common goals of creating zero waste and maximizing positive impact on the environment.

Our recycling partners adhere to the following standards:

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard
  • OHSAS 18001 Health/Safety Management Standards
  • EPA Guidelines
  • State Licensed

Certificates of recycling and/or destruction are available upon request.

Let us handle your used computer and IT equipment – the responsible way.
